8th Man
Who is 8th Man?
8th Man is a super robot created by Professor Genius. The
reason for the number 8 is that this robot was Prof Genius' 8th
experiment.
The 8th Man robot by itself was a lifeless compilation of
circuits servo's and wires. What the robot body needed was a
human mind to bring it to life.
One day Special Agent Brady of the Metropolitan Crime
Prevention Bureau was involved in a shootout with Saucerlip the
gangster & his 2 henchmen. In the end Special Agent Brady was
run down and killed by the criminals.
Brady's body was found by Prof Genius, and taken back
to his laboratory, where the Professor hoped his electric wave
machine, could transfer Brady's mind to the robot's electronic
brain.
So through the brilliance of Professor Genius 8th Man was
born & vowed to be the peoples' champion by fighting crime
& injustice wherever it was found.
8th Man worked under the guise of private detective Tobor,
with his secretary Jenny Hartsweet and Skip Pepper the office boy.
The Cast
Tobor ( robot spelled backwards ) is 8thMan's alter ego.
Mr Tobor runs a private detective agency
8th Man as he really is. He is powered by a miniature
atomic engine using uranium as it's power source. 8th Man can fly
by use of his antigravity unit and can run at speeds of up to
mach 10. Infra-red vision, super hearing and an internal radar
reader compliment his list of abilities.
His greatest weapon of course is his ability to change his
appearance to anyone he desires. This is done by imagining a
person & his plastic skin automatically takes on the desired
appearance.
Professor Genius, the creator of 8th Man, is originally
from the dictatorship of Armaco. He secretly left Armaco with his
uncompleted robot as he refused to build weapons of war for the
Armaco dictatorship.
Chief Fumblethumbs is the head of the Metropolitan Crime
Prevention Bureau. Apart from Professor Genius, the Chief is the
only other person who knows 8th Man's secret identity as Tobor.
The Chief regularly calls upon 8th Man to catch the various super
villains that seek world domination.
Jenny Heartsweet is Mr Tobor's secretary and is secretly in
love with Mr Tobor.
Tobor is aware of this, but honour demands that he cannot
return Jenny's affection as he is not human.

Bodyguard" where 8thMan changed his appearance to Jenny in
order to Protect the President of Domestica
The Baddies
This is Baron Stormy from the country of
Triopa.
He stole a weather machine which he uses to control the weather. His secret base is on a desolated island in the middle of the ocean.
He sent storms to Metropolitan city and demanded $10
million in gold bouillon as ransom. This is a great episode!
